AG is adding a new doll to the historicals! While it is sad that four historical dolls are being retired for her, a new face is always welcome! Here are my findings on the mysterious "Grace Thomas."
This is my favorite outfit.

I have to admit Grace is pretty cute! I just might have to get her...

Most sources say she's from the 50s.

Her collection is classic 50s! It is all so adorable!

DeleteI know! I cant wait for her to come out, that is if she does, I've heard rumors that AG trademarked the name in 2013, and that it take 2yrs for historicals to be released. I've also heard that is has been confirmed that Grace is just the fake name, Like Isabelle was Blanche. I personally hope this is NOT true because Grace is a part of my name too!

DeleteGrace is a lovely name, but not popular at all in the 1950's. Patty, Debbie, Sharon, Janet, etc. were the popular names at my grade school.

DeleteI Googled "American Girl Historical 2014" and found her a couple months ago! I probably won't get her because I believe four AG dolls is enough for now, but I think my mom would probably like her. I like her blue and white checkered dress the most, but the one you like is a close second ;) so exciting!

DeleteEven though I do like the name grace Thomas I have a uncle who works for ag and he said the possible names for here are Ajay or Rowan thankyou for the information though and other people say she is going to have a disability and my self opinion on that is I don't think she will and something else is she is going to be 1 of the only goty's to have a best friend and her best friend will also be called Ajay or Rowan and they will share the goty Spotlight

ReplyDeleteThis doll's name is Maryellen, which is a good 1950's name. It was registered to AG this past summer and she is the new beforever, maybe coming out in 2015. I have been waiting for them to do a new BeForever and was hoping for the 1950's. Grace Thomas is now officially been leaked as the actual name of GOTY 2015, but no pics of her have been leaked as of yet, and I have been looking everywhere. There is talk that she is going to have a disability but no ones for sure or if so, what type of disability. The "rowan and AJ" rumor may or may not be true. THere is a girl on utube who claims her uncle works at AG "he is the owner, kind of" but not sure if she is just full of it, and if it is true, it would be early info about 2016, as we know for sure that 2015 is Grace Thomas and she has friends named Maddie and Ella, which we know from clips of the book. I am definitely getting the doll in the picture, whoever she ends up being, but I am pretty sure her name is Maryellen.

DeleteMy daughter really wants GOTY 2015 to have a new face, or at least a different skin color. The disability would be great too, but not sure if they would do both in one doll, as either one would make a big splash. If they do a disability, maybe she could have cerebral palsy. Lots of kids with it aren't necessarily in wheelchairs but usually have difficulties walking, using special forearm crutches, things like that. It would be a good one to do because it is very common and many girls may have someone they know with the disorder, but maybe they don't know much about it or are afraid to ask, so I think that would be a good one. It could fit with the story line because that kind of disability wouldn't interfere with what we now about the story line. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteWe have already decided that we will not be getting GOTY 2015 unless she has a diffferent face or is of color, because we already have 14 dolls between all my girls.
Both my parents are doctors, and 14 dolls are insane! Hope she does have a different face though. I'm sure Saige and Isabelle will love to complain about her individuality! :)

ReplyDeleteThe new Goty of 2015 is Grace Thomas, but her code name was Coco. She has no dissability at all. She has silky brown hair and blue eyes. Fair skin with a dash of freckels going on her face. Also, she has half-bangs meaning that her bangs are pulled aside to her left.
Her family consists os her mother, her father, and her 14 year old brother Josh. Her Aunt is Aunt Sophie, her cousin Sylvie from Paris France and I believe her Uncle is Uncle Bernard.
Her friends are Ella and Maddy, Ella is going to be a black girl and Maddy a red-head.
And, 14 dolls is not SO insane !
Me (I am 12 years old) , My Aunt (whom is 10 years old) , My 10 year old sister, (And i guess I could add my 6 year old sister in there) we together, have 26 Dolls!
But, 8 or 9 of them are not AG...
And, I will be awaiting a new arrival to our family ! ... Grace Thomas !
I have to say some special thanks to my grandmother and my mother (bjt mostly my grand mother, who is still really young ! ) for being such Amazing AG fans !!
